About Sweet Nouveau

Sweet Nouveau specializes in handcrafted confections, chocolates and edible guest favors for all ocassions.  We are fully licensed and insured........we produce our delectable creations out of United Kitchens, a shared commercial kitchen space/marketplace in LaGrange, Illinois.

Our confections are made to order in small batches to ensure freshness........we pride ourselves in using ingredients of the highest quality like, real cream, Madagascar vanilla, European butter and Guittard chocolate.    

We understand the incredibly high standards you expect when it comes to your special event and we look forward to working with you.  ​

​​​​Coming from a long line of family cooks and bakers, good food has been a crucial part of Sandra's life. She learned at a young age from both her grandmother and mother who were deemed the best bakers in their community.

Sandra has an Bachelor of Arts Degree from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago.  She later enrolled in the De La Patisserie program at the French Pastry School of Chicago one of the most prestigious pastry schools in the world, where she was trained by world champion pastry chefs.  During school she interned at Panna Dolce, Sarah's Candies & Pastries and Flirty Cupcakes.  Shortly after graduation she began working as a baker for Nordstrom Cafe, then finally setting her sights on her own business........and Sweet Nouveau was born.

Sandra has been featured on You and Me This Morning talk show, a sponsor for the annual For the Love of Chocolate Scholarship Gala (2014 - 2017) and competed on the 4th season of Cake Wars on Food Network.  Sandra has also been  in several wedding industry magazines and blogs and was named one of the BEST wedding cakes in Chicago by and won the Wedding Industry Experts award for Most Popular Cakes of 2015.
